Who says you can’t style your synthetic wig? There are many different ways you can style your alternative hair without the use of heat! Follow along below to see a few styles we tried out!
Today, we are styling the beautiful Zara by Jon Renau in color FS26/31S6, Salted Caramel. The natural-looking lace front allows for the hair to be pulled back, away from the face while still providing a natural look, while the monofilament top allows for multidirectional parting. So, you can part her down the middle, left, or right, wherever you please!
For the loose braid (pictured below), we have parted her slightly off-center. Zara comes with long, face-framing layers that are very flattering and on-trend! One of the great things about the face-framing layers is that they can assist in disguising any bio hair you may have if you have a low-laying hairline! To create this look, use either your fingers (or wide-tooth comb or wig brush) to divide the hair into three sections at the nape of the neck. Braid the hair just as you would your own bio hair to create a long flowing, loose braid. The face-framing layers can also be worn tucked behind the ear for a beautiful, effortless, off-the-face style.
For the low pony, gently pull the hair to the nape of the neck and fasten. This style is a great low-effort, everyday look! It's also a style that can easily be dressed up or dressed down by including accessories such as a cute headband, a patterned scarf, or a jeweled clip!
