Care Instructions
Wash
  • Before washing your wig or hair piece, gently remove tangles
  • Fill sink with cool water and submerge wig of hair piece. Emulsify with your choice human hair wig shampoo or Synthetic wig shampoo into the hair. 1
  • It is important to use shampoo and conditioner specially formulated for human or synthetic hair products.
  • Gently lather the hair with shampoo, while making sure that the hair is travelling in the same direction, DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling.
  • Rinse thoroughly in cool water until water runs clear.
  • For Human Hair wigs, apply conditioner avoiding the base cap of the wig or hair piece
  • With your fingers, work conditioner through the ends of the has for about 3-5 minutes
  • Rinse thoroughly in cold water until water runs clear
Dry
  • Wrap wig or hair piece in a towel and gently pat dry
  • DO NOT use a brush to detangle your human hair wig while it is wet, gently use a wide tooth comb
For Human Hair Fiber:
  • We recommend using a blow dryer (medium to medium-high heat) to style your human hair wig
  • Using a boar bristle/nylon round brush, work through hair in 2" sections starting at the nape working in a downward motion to ensure that hair stays smooth. Blow hair dry completely directing the hair in the shape you want to style
For Heat Defiant Fiber:
  • Spray with your choice of synthetic leave in conditioner
  • Air drying your wig or hair piece will give the best results. You can gently blow dry (low-medium heat) using only a wide tooth comb.
For Synthetic Fiber:
  • Allow wig or hair piece to dry naturally by placing on a plastic of wire wig stand. DO NOT blow dry.
  • Your wig or hair piece can be styled closer to the head for a fuller look
  • If fullness is desired, backcomb hair gently using your wig comb or brush then smooth the surface hair over
Style
For Human Hair Fiber:
  • It is recommended to use professional grade heat styling tools with digital temperature settings to control heat
  • Your styling tools should be set no higher than 350F to help maintain the integrity of the hair
  • Work in small sections (1-2 inch starting at the nape)
  • When curling your human hair, you can use small metal clips to hold each curl while cooling for a tighter, longer- lasting curl. For a looser, more natural looking curl, allow curls to hang while cooling.
For Heat Defiant Fiber:
  • It is recommended to use professional grade heat styling tools with digital temperature settings to control heat
  • We recommend only using a wide tooth comb and working at 270-280 degrees F.
  • Gently comb hair free of tangles with a wide tooth comb
  • Starting at the nape, take ½ inch to 1½ inch sections of hair (smaller sections = tighter curls, larger sections = looser curls)
  • It is recommended to use a styling spray to protect the fiber
  • Gather hair into curling iron, smooth through to the ends. Roll iron up towards base of wig, staying 1-2 inches away
  • Hold for 10-15 seconds then turn the tip of the iron toward the ground and release curl into palm of hand
  • Holding curl in one hand, gather up towards base and secure curl with a small metal clip (like a pin curl)
  • Allow curl to cool completely (about 5 minutes); remove clip and let curl hang naturally
  • Hair can be combed with your wide tooth comb or fingers to blend curls
For Synthetic Fiber:
  • DO NOT use heat to style synthetic fibers and be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e. open oven, heater, etc.) as excessive heat can damage the fiber.
  • Simply use your fingertips of wig brush/comb for your desired style.
  • Mono Top wigs allow multi-directional parting in the monofilament area. If the fiber is being resistant when changing the parting, warm your hands by vigorously rubbing them together and place your palm flat on the new part, hold for 10-15 seconds. The warmth from your hands will help the fiber settle into the new parting and direction.
  • When cutting synthetic fiber, we recommend using a dense steel blade shear. We do not recommend using a razor for cutting synthetic fiber. This tool can shred the ends and lead to fraying and damage to the fiber.

Absolutely heavenly!

I've wanted Editor's Pick Elite for a long time now, but the price point was always a bit too steep.

However, combining my points along with an incredible holiday discount from Raquel Welch, I was able to get the price point down to something more manageable.

This wig, oh wow where do I begin? This version of Editor's Pick Elite with its hand-tied cap is divine. It is comfortable and so easy to wear. I love that I don't have to worry about being caught out in the wind and someone might see wefting. But I also understand this hand-tied cap is what drives up the cost.

I am a 22 1/2" circumference, so I worried a bit after hearing that RW's hand-tied caps tend to run a bit small. But in my case, the wig fit snugly, but I was able to put it on with no issue.

However, as I wore it, I decided it would be more comfortable if I removed the Velcro adjusters entirely. Now it fits my average/large head perfectly! I don't even need a wig grip underneath. However, I will most likely use some It Stays when wearing it out just for some extra security.

The lace front is impeccable and melts right into my skin. It doesn't feel itchy or rough.

I ordered Editor's Pick Elite in my favorite RW red--Shaded Iced Pumpkin Spice (RL29/33SS), and let me say it's such a rich, beautiful color and flatters my pale, cool skin tone and green eyes nicely. The root isn't harsh or too dark. It's blended perfectly.

The only very small issue I had with this wig was taming the front of it. The nice thing about this style is it has bangs so you have the option to wear it that way.

However, I wanted to take advantage of the lace front so wanted to wear this beauty off my face. It took a bit of the heat from my hand, along with some heat tools to tame it into submission. So overall, this issue was an easy fix.

All in all, I am so in love with this wig! The fibers are soft and silky. I feel beautiful every time I put it on! The length is just right as well--not too long or short. It has zero permatease, but the one I got has a LOT of hair. I love big hair so no issue for me, but for others who don't roll that way, this style would be easy to sleek down a bit.

Thank you so much to Patti's Pearls for yet another flawless transaction. And thank you to Raquel Welch/HairUWear for offering such an exquisite wig. You all are the best! :)

Love my Editor’s Pick Elite in Shaded Biscuit

I have never worn a wig before but have always wanted to. I live in Florida and the humidity and my biohair do not get along. This wig is adorable. Everyone had said that wigs would be so hot, you don’t want to wear one, you’ll hate it. I love it. I have gotten so many random compliments. The gentleman checking me into the hotel at 10pm after traveling all day, the flight attendants who couldn’t believe my hair could look so good in “this” weather and even the pharmacist. Anyways I am thrilled and have now bought several styles. Love love love your wigs❤️❤️❤️

great wig

Beautiful wig and great color. Does not last as long as a regular synthetic fiber wig, but it`s a very stunning wig. I get a lot of compliments.

Oooooo Pretty! Pretty!

This wig, my first, is adorable! I have a couple of toppers, but this is my first full wig. I am just tired of messing around with my thinning, tired biohair. I love this wig! I bought it in cinnabar, which is a darker red than my biohair, and the color is beautiful. The curls are so cute; the whole look is fresh and sophisticated. I look ten years younger! Shipping was incredibly fast, too. I can’t say enough about Patti’s Pearls, I would never buy from anyone else. All done writing, I have to go gaze at myself in the mirror!

Beautiful wig!

I wasn't sure at first. This wig has voluminous curls that were much tighter than most photos and videos show. The best representation of the wig out of the box is the one that Patti did! It's pretty curly, which makes it seem kind of "big". In every other video (and I watched them all!) it looks more wavy. I knew I wasn't supposed to mess with it much if I decided to return it, so I packed it all back into the box and waited a day before looking at it again. I finally decided that it was too beautiful not to keep! The other problem is the way it fits my head. I apparently have a small crown. I have had to alter my open cap wigs to fit, but this is my first hand tied. The amazing thing about this wig is that it actually settled in with wearing and no longer sticks up two inches off the top of my crown! It magically molded itself to my head!
I'm still playing around with the curls, trying to relax them a bit. Haven't applied any heat or product yet. And I may cut a little length off the bottom all the way around. This is one gorgeous wig! The color (SS Wheat) is amazing - so much variation. Video reviews call it "dynamic" and it really is. No salon could hope to give you the multiple levels of shading that are present in this wig. Loving this wig and I've just begun!
