Care Instructions
Wash
  • Before washing your wig or hair piece, gently remove tangles
  • Fill sink with cool water and submerge wig of hair piece. Emulsify with your choice human hair wig shampoo or Synthetic wig shampoo into the hair. 1
  • It is important to use shampoo and conditioner specially formulated for human or synthetic hair products.
  • Gently lather the hair with shampoo, while making sure that the hair is travelling in the same direction, DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling.
  • Rinse thoroughly in cool water until water runs clear.
  • For Human Hair wigs, apply conditioner avoiding the base cap of the wig or hair piece
  • With your fingers, work conditioner through the ends of the has for about 3-5 minutes
  • Rinse thoroughly in cold water until water runs clear
Dry
  • Wrap wig or hair piece in a towel and gently pat dry
  • DO NOT use a brush to detangle your human hair wig while it is wet, gently use a wide tooth comb
For Human Hair Fiber:
  • We recommend using a blow dryer (medium to medium-high heat) to style your human hair wig
  • Using a boar bristle/nylon round brush, work through hair in 2" sections starting at the nape working in a downward motion to ensure that hair stays smooth. Blow hair dry completely directing the hair in the shape you want to style
For Heat Defiant Fiber:
  • Spray with your choice of synthetic leave in conditioner
  • Air drying your wig or hair piece will give the best results. You can gently blow dry (low-medium heat) using only a wide tooth comb.
For Synthetic Fiber:
  • Allow wig or hair piece to dry naturally by placing on a plastic of wire wig stand. DO NOT blow dry.
  • Your wig or hair piece can be styled closer to the head for a fuller look
  • If fullness is desired, backcomb hair gently using your wig comb or brush then smooth the surface hair over
Style
For Human Hair Fiber:
  • It is recommended to use professional grade heat styling tools with digital temperature settings to control heat
  • Your styling tools should be set no higher than 350F to help maintain the integrity of the hair
  • Work in small sections (1-2 inch starting at the nape)
  • When curling your human hair, you can use small metal clips to hold each curl while cooling for a tighter, longer- lasting curl. For a looser, more natural looking curl, allow curls to hang while cooling.
For Heat Defiant Fiber:
  • It is recommended to use professional grade heat styling tools with digital temperature settings to control heat
  • We recommend only using a wide tooth comb and working at 270-280 degrees F.
  • Gently comb hair free of tangles with a wide tooth comb
  • Starting at the nape, take ½ inch to 1½ inch sections of hair (smaller sections = tighter curls, larger sections = looser curls)
  • It is recommended to use a styling spray to protect the fiber
  • Gather hair into curling iron, smooth through to the ends. Roll iron up towards base of wig, staying 1-2 inches away
  • Hold for 10-15 seconds then turn the tip of the iron toward the ground and release curl into palm of hand
  • Holding curl in one hand, gather up towards base and secure curl with a small metal clip (like a pin curl)
  • Allow curl to cool completely (about 5 minutes); remove clip and let curl hang naturally
  • Hair can be combed with your wide tooth comb or fingers to blend curls
For Synthetic Fiber:
  • DO NOT use heat to style synthetic fibers and be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e. open oven, heater, etc.) as excessive heat can damage the fiber.
  • Simply use your fingertips of wig brush/comb for your desired style.
  • Mono Top wigs allow multi-directional parting in the monofilament area. If the fiber is being resistant when changing the parting, warm your hands by vigorously rubbing them together and place your palm flat on the new part, hold for 10-15 seconds. The warmth from your hands will help the fiber settle into the new parting and direction.
  • When cutting synthetic fiber, we recommend using a dense steel blade shear. We do not recommend using a razor for cutting synthetic fiber. This tool can shred the ends and lead to fraying and damage to the fiber.

Poofy for a petite gal and shiny but WOW when fixed

Being petite, I found that this wig had way too much hair (I looked like Little Orphan Annie). Once again, Patti's videos to the rescue! She has a video where she shows the proper way to thin a wavy wig, and she uses Sweet Talk as the example. I followed her directions, nervously I admit, and WOW! I love the classy look! I also used dry shampoo to fix the shine.
I will also state that Gabor's 8/29SS is much lighter in color and more blended than Raquel Welch's 8/29SS on Crowd Pleaser which surprised me because they are made by the same company. The 2 wigs are also made with different types of fibers. Well, I'm always learning, and this has become a very fun journey now that I have Patti's videos and her customer service reps as a resource. Thank you, Patti's Pearls!

Making A Commitment - - -

For me, with very short light ash blonde, baby fine hair - - Sweet Talk was a shock to my system. BUT - I decided even before I got her that I was going to 'commit' to her and use this relationship to learn how to wear something different. LOL - She does not disappoint there! My 1st reaction to her is that she is A PARTY IN A BOX! Fun - Flirty - Young - LOL - all the things I yearn for at 70!! :) I finally pulled her back from my face with a headband and BINGO! - - loved it! I have since worked on taming her volume a little and she and it's looking good for us to have a future. I wish Gabor offered her in a cool platinum - with maybe ash blonde shading - - -color is the one thing I would change if I could as the lightest blonde is still more gold/warm than I would prefer. Overall - I would recommend her. The length is great, the curls/waves are great, and the fit was good on my average head. The lace front is a little itchy compared to some of my others. I am working up to wearing her! Thanks to Patti and staff - another 5 Star Experience!

Not what I expected, but cute

I ordered Sweet Talk in GL44-51. Although very cute, it is shorter than I expected, and a tad lighter than my other Gabor wigs in sugared charcoal. It is not quite like what is pictured with the tousled style. Perhaps if I had the correct styling products (which I ordered after my return), I could have worked some magic. I purchased Soft and Subtle as an exchange, and am hoping for the best. It has good quality and lovely lace front though, as I have found all Gabor wigs to have. Overall, the wig is very nice, just not for me or what I expected.

Adorable Wig

I received Sweet Talk today. Wonderful construction and lace front and a comfortable cap. I have straight hair and throughout the years I have always worn the same style which has become quite boring. This wig has wonderful soft curls and gives me an updated “young” style which I could never get with my thin hair. It is a bit longer than what is pictured but I still love it. The color I purchased – GL23 101 sunkissed beige is a true platinum blonde and matches my hair perfectly!

Easy for summer

This is a cute short wavy wig for summer. I've noticed some people complain that it's longer or shorter than the picture. This is because all wigs fit all people differently. Depending on the size and shape of your head as well as the length of your neck, the wig can look shorter or longer on you. This is not a default in the quality of the wig. They are all the same length but may look different on you. The curl pattern is nice. You can comb it with a wide tooth comb to loosen the curls a bit. I think this one looks best after being washed and combed. I prefer handtied caps but this one does have a nice monofilament part. For those who love Julianne, Editor's Pick or Soft and Subtle but you need something shorter, this is a great pick!! Definitely worth the price!
