Care Instructions
Wash
  • Before washing your wig or hair piece, gently remove tangles
  • Fill sink with cool water and submerge wig of hair piece. Emulsify with your choice human hair wig shampoo or Synthetic wig shampoo into the hair. 1
  • It is important to use shampoo and conditioner specially formulated for human or synthetic hair products.
  • Gently lather the hair with shampoo, while making sure that the hair is travelling in the same direction, DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling.
  • Rinse thoroughly in cool water until water runs clear.
  • For Human Hair wigs, apply conditioner avoiding the base cap of the wig or hair piece
  • With your fingers, work conditioner through the ends of the has for about 3-5 minutes
  • Rinse thoroughly in cold water until water runs clear
Dry
  • Wrap wig or hair piece in a towel and gently pat dry
  • DO NOT use a brush to detangle your human hair wig while it is wet, gently use a wide tooth comb
For Human Hair Fiber:
  • We recommend using a blow dryer (medium to medium-high heat) to style your human hair wig
  • Using a boar bristle/nylon round brush, work through hair in 2" sections starting at the nape working in a downward motion to ensure that hair stays smooth. Blow hair dry completely directing the hair in the shape you want to style
For Heat Defiant Fiber:
  • Spray with your choice of synthetic leave in conditioner
  • Air drying your wig or hair piece will give the best results. You can gently blow dry (low-medium heat) using only a wide tooth comb.
For Synthetic Fiber:
  • Allow wig or hair piece to dry naturally by placing on a plastic of wire wig stand. DO NOT blow dry.
  • Your wig or hair piece can be styled closer to the head for a fuller look
  • If fullness is desired, backcomb hair gently using your wig comb or brush then smooth the surface hair over
Style
For Human Hair Fiber:
  • It is recommended to use professional grade heat styling tools with digital temperature settings to control heat
  • Your styling tools should be set no higher than 350F to help maintain the integrity of the hair
  • Work in small sections (1-2 inch starting at the nape)
  • When curling your human hair, you can use small metal clips to hold each curl while cooling for a tighter, longer- lasting curl. For a looser, more natural looking curl, allow curls to hang while cooling.
For Heat Defiant Fiber:
  • It is recommended to use professional grade heat styling tools with digital temperature settings to control heat
  • We recommend only using a wide tooth comb and working at 270-280 degrees F.
  • Gently comb hair free of tangles with a wide tooth comb
  • Starting at the nape, take ½ inch to 1½ inch sections of hair (smaller sections = tighter curls, larger sections = looser curls)
  • It is recommended to use a styling spray to protect the fiber
  • Gather hair into curling iron, smooth through to the ends. Roll iron up towards base of wig, staying 1-2 inches away
  • Hold for 10-15 seconds then turn the tip of the iron toward the ground and release curl into palm of hand
  • Holding curl in one hand, gather up towards base and secure curl with a small metal clip (like a pin curl)
  • Allow curl to cool completely (about 5 minutes); remove clip and let curl hang naturally
  • Hair can be combed with your wide tooth comb or fingers to blend curls
For Synthetic Fiber:
  • DO NOT use heat to style synthetic fibers and be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e. open oven, heater, etc.) as excessive heat can damage the fiber.
  • Simply use your fingertips of wig brush/comb for your desired style.
  • Mono Top wigs allow multi-directional parting in the monofilament area. If the fiber is being resistant when changing the parting, warm your hands by vigorously rubbing them together and place your palm flat on the new part, hold for 10-15 seconds. The warmth from your hands will help the fiber settle into the new parting and direction.
  • When cutting synthetic fiber, we recommend using a dense steel blade shear. We do not recommend using a razor for cutting synthetic fiber. This tool can shred the ends and lead to fraying and damage to the fiber.

Solid wig, workhorse, good for daily use

Tatum will always be my default, go-to, no stress wig. I own her in a variety of colors. She is almost always ready to go right out of the box. (If anything, the bangs might need a bit of tweaking, and some units needs a touch of thinning on the sides to look more natural.)

No one is ever going to suspect this is a wig. It's a natural look and density. You can wear it as-is, or in a half or full (but low, because it's not very long) updo. You can use some dry shampoo or a heat brush to fluff her up, if you like. The length is quite manageable. Just run your fingers through it a few times a day. One caveat, however..... The length is whatever the opposite of a sweet-spot is. LOL It's not long enough that the weight of it guarantees it will always lay down flatly. It's not short enough that you don't have to worry about how brushing against the nape of your neck will affect it. But because it's synthetic hair and not real, it isn't quite as soft and pliable. So sometimes it doesn't lay flush against your body. When I have been moving around a lot, I just touch it to make sure it's lying flat.

It washes and wears well. I don't really even need to use silicon spray to keep it tamed. Wigs usually have a limited lifespan but I still wear the very first Tatum I bought back in 2018 and it looks and wears the same. I have an average but leaning large head, and Tatum fits fine after a few wears. The ear tabs come close to my own.

I don't mind wearing this wig outside all day in the heat and humidity of summer. In the winter, like all synthetics, it can be staticky (but this one, not overly so) and so I just bring a tiny little spray bottle of water and spritz it from time to time.

My only dislike is how Aderans does the highlighted colors on the double mono tops. Tatum in some shades has randomly placed striped highlights of varying width, and it's just not nice looking. No one would go to a decent salon and get highlights done this way. I opt for the more blended colors (like marble brown, ginger brown, dark chocolate) but I wish I had fuller options. And I wish Tatum came in shaded rooting.

My budget is limited so I buy Tatum on sale.

I've seen Tatum on a variety of people online, and it looks great on everyone! I highly recommend this wig!

Durable and Pretty

I now have a second Tatum and for a good reason. It's a durable every day wig, that looks very realistic (low density). It's also a very pretty piece. I am happy that it has no lace front, because it doesn't need one as it has a great bang. I'd like to note that Amore wigs do fit smaller then Average of Jon Renau or Raquel Welch. So I would say it's probably closer to petite or 21" in circumference. So if your head is on the smaller side, then I think you would love it. Its a very classic style!

very realistic

I love Tatum. Its very realistic, comfortable and fun. Just look at those bangs :) Tatum as many Amore wigs have a hand-tied double monofilament top and no lace (which I prefer). The nape is not too long to tangle.

The Tatum is terrific – Patti's Pearls is a gem!

The Tatum is a great wig – no one I've encountered in my year of wearing it daily has made mention of it being anything other than real. And this is what I want you to know about working with Patti's pearls:

It is rare to find an expert as genuinely skilled, warm, and enthusiastic as Patti Joyce and everyone at Patti's Pearls. After watching Patti's videos online, I called to consult with Patti's Pearls about a wig. I was completely satisfied with every aspect of the experience. The staff delivered top-notch customer service without rushing me– I felt comfortable, cared for, and listened to (which is so important for someone like me who has been thrust unexpectedly into the world of wigs). If you are considering doing business with Patti's Pearls, I definitely recommend that you take advantage of this most valuable resource.
