We're Donating Wigs to Celebrate the Surviving and Thriving Women in the Community

We're giving away 14 wigs in 14 days during the month of February to cancer and alopecia patients in need. Patti is kicking off her ‘Love is in the Hair’ journey to donate wigs in the spirit of good will and to celebrate the surviving and thriving women in the community.

“As a Woman, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, my motto has always been the old southern adage, ‘Get Up, Suit Up, and Show Up.’ Several years ago, that motto was tested as I received one of the greatest blessings of my life. I was diagnosed with colon cancer. The resultant operations, chemotherapy, various treatments and tests and the uphill battle to "Surviving and Thriving” were incredibly trying. But they also gave me the opportunity to create good through Wigs by Patti’s Pearls,” said Patti.

“For any patient, losing hair can be one of the most emotionally traumatic aspects of a woman’s treatment. I have been given the special opportunity to make a difference in a woman’s life during a time when she needs all the self-confidence and courage that she can muster,” she said.

Patti hopes this journey will recognize the beautiful women and raise awareness in the community.

Patti also asks that if anyone feels inspired by her actions to please make a donation to Rady Children’s Hospital.
